Probiotics & Live Cultures
What “live cultures” means in yoghurt and frozen yoghurt.

Cultures
What are live cultures?
Yoghurt is made by fermenting milk with friendly bacteria – such as Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. Some products add further strains, like Bifidobacterium lactis or Lactobacillus paracasei, often described as probiotics.

The type and amount of live cultures in frozen yoghurt depend on the mix used and how it is made and stored. Check the product specification of your chosen mix for its culture content.
